Live/Circuit Collective is aimed at young musicians aged 12-18 years old who are interested in creating and improvising new music that combines live instruments with music technology. This session is for musicians have some confidence and experience playing their chosen instrument or music technology platform and would like to develop their skills in a group setting.
We’re particularly interested in recruiting brass/woodwind players and keyboard players to add to our great band.
We have the following music tech gear and synths at More Music which you’ll be able to use as part of the project:
– Ableton Push 2 midi controller
– Microkorg XL
– Korg Monologue
– Ableton music production software
Sessions will be led by Dave Shooter and Leroy Lupton. Dave has been running workshops like this for nearly two decades and is a bass player and electronic music performer/producer. Leroy is an experienced workshop leader. He is also an in-demand producer/songwriter and vocalist/guitarist/keyboard player.
Sessions are FREE and take place at More Music, 13-17 Devonshire Road, Morecambe LA3 1QT.
Saturdays 10am-1pm
Please email Darren.leadsom@moremusic.org.uk if you would like to come along and let us know what instrument you play. Some equipment will be provided, such as drums, amps and keyboards.
