CMPSR
The CMPSR is a ‘gaming-style’ MIDI controller that allows the user to play music using a joystick. It is designed to meet the needs of young people with limited mobility who experience barriers to playing traditional instruments such as keyboards and guitars.
The CMPSR is played through either an iPad app (e.g. Garageband) or laptop program (e.g. Ableton Live), allowing nearly any instrument sound to be chosen. The joystick triggers individual notes or chords, and the buttons change the settings of the sounds (e.g. sustain, octave).
